Vegan Bounty Bars

  • 4 cups of dessicated coconut
  • ¾ and ⅔ cup of coconut cream
  • ¼ cup of melted organic virgin coconut oil
  • ⅓ cup of maple syrup
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3 cups of chocolate chips


Step 1

In a medium bowl, mix together the coconut, ¾ cup of coconut cream, coconut oil, maple syrup & pinch of salt. Transfer the coconut mixture to the slice tray and freeze for 30minutes.

Step 2

Place the chocolate chips and ⅔ cup of coconut cream into a grass bowl over a pot of boiling water. Don’t allow the water to touch the bottom of the bowl. Stir often until the chocolate has melted & mixture is smooth.

Step 3

Pour chocolate over the coconut layer & then freeze again for an 30-45mins.

Step 4

Remove from the freezer cut into pieces whilst the slice is slightly soft, as this will prevent the chocolate cracking. Allow to freezer for another hour or so before serving.
